Repairs Update: Coming out of Lockdown - 09/06/2020

In line with Government advice, we are able to start some non-urgent works ordered prior to lockdown. We continue to protect the health and safety of residents, staff and contractors.

Non-urgent repairs restart

In June, we are starting to able to start works on the repairs reported before lockdown in the order they were reported. This means that it may take us longer to respond to new non-urgent repairs.

For all repairs and servicing, we will continue to ask you if you are self-isolating with symptoms or have tested positive for Covid-19. We will also need to know if you arew in a vulnerable group of shielding. This may affect how and when we carry out your repair or service, and we will discuss options with you. For security, we will hold this data on our system temporarily. We may also share your data witht he NHS as part of their Test and Trace service. This will be in done in line with the Data Protection Act 2018 and the GDPR.

How lockdown impacts on our work

We are experiencing some delays sourcing materials and some absence due to Covid-19. Please bear with us as we are working as hard as possible to restart our full service.

Gas, electrical and fire safety

All gas servicing and other safety-related work and inspections will continue, to keep your home safe. 

If you smell gas or are worried about an appliance call 0800 111 999 (National Gas Emergency). For servicing or repairs call 0117 924 4071.

Keeping safe during repairs

Our operatives will keep a safe distance when they enter your home and use extra hygiene measures. Residents have an equal responsibility for works being done in a safe way. you may be asked to stay in another room during the repair. Please keep young children away from the working area.

Planned works

If you are on our planned programme, we will in contact to discuss the works and whether you are happy for them to be carried out. We also plan to restart larger works such as:
  • Maintenance of communal areas
  • Major roofing works
  • New boilers
