Stakeholder survey results are in! - 02/12/2016


Our stakeholders have told us what they think of Solon, what we are doing and how we are doing it.

There is a lot of positive and encouraging feedback on various aspects of our work and the way we interact with partners ranging from local councils, contractors and supported housing agencies. 

 
1) The results provide sufficient detail to show where, from the stakeholders' viewpoint, Solon is living its values. This includes:

- Treating everyone with respect.
- Empowering people to succeed at life.
- Working with local communities to make better places to live.
- People who can be trusted.
- Ensuring that people are treated fairly and given fair chances.

2) There is clear recognition of Solon's ongoing commitment to working with, and supporting vulnerable people. This includes continuing provision of affordable rented homes to meet pressing housing needs, and supply of accomodation to supported housing partners. We are doing this despite the current challenges, and as some other housing providers seem to be wavering and leaving the field. 

3) There is also recognition of the impact of work done by our Rackfield House Hostel in Bath and the supported housing agencies managing homes on our behalf.

- Providing more affordable housing to meet need and tackle the homelessness crisis.
- Continued commitment to housing vulnerable people. 
- Supporting residents, helping them to protect their income from welfare reform.
- Maintaining and improving the management of our homes, and communication with residents and stakeholders."
