Solon's services have improved say Mock Inspectors

Mock Inspection results now in! - 04/04/2011

Mock Inspectors find Solon has improved since Audit Commission Short Notice Inspection


In March Solon invited the inspectors in to have a look at our services to see if we have improved since the Short Notice Inspection which took place in 2009.

The inspectors were on site for a week and met with residents, staff, contractors and Board members.  They looked at our paperwork and information available on our services for residents.  We asked them to look at areas which our residents had prioritised and the results were as follows:

Gas Servicing 1 star
Relets 2 stars
Resident Involvement 1 star
Antisocial Behaviour 1 star
Allocations and Lettings 2 stars
Value for Money 2 stars
Prospects for Improvement Promising

We are really pleased with the results as this shows that we are on the right track.  When the Audit Commission visited in 2009 they said that we had 0 stars with Uncertain Prospects for Improvement, so this report shows that our services are getting better.

Thank you to all the residents who got involved and came along and had their say.  A special thanks to the 3 residents who spent time with the inspectors, shadowing them, to learn more about what an inspection is and how it all works.
