Beware of a new Covid scam - 31/12/2020

We have been made aware that a new Covid scam has been reaching people. It is likely that there are/will be others similar to this case. 

The consumer had received a text message from +44 7943 028442 stating:

"NHS: We have identified that your are eligibe for your vaccine. For more information and to apply, follow here application"

Please note the incorrect use of 'your' instead of 'you'.

The complainant advised when he followed the link it took him to a copy of an NHS website and also provided links to the real NHS website. On the final page personal information was requested including name, date of birth, address, a payment card (to check billing) and proof of address. There was also a spelling mistake on the website.

Please be aware this is a scam.
