Emersons Green East, South Gloucestershire
14 houses are to be delivered in partnership with Persimmon Homes. The homes are part of a much larger development known as the Lyde Green Estate in South Gloucestershire. Solon will have 11 houses for Social rent and 3 houses for Shared Ownership, the properties are due to be completed by the beginning of 2017. The last four homes were handed over in April 2017.
Emersons Gateway, South Gloucestershire
37 homes, a mix of houses and flats, are being delivered in partnership with housebuilder Taylor Wimpey. The homes are part of a much larger development at the Lyde Green Estate in South Gloucestershire. Solon will have 30 homes for Social Rent and 7 homes for Shared Ownership. Works have already commenced on site and the first units are due to complete in early 2017 with the final units at the end of 2018.
Highbury Road, Bedminster, Bristol
A new-build project providing 29x flats for affordable rent. Solon have entered into a conditional contract with E.G.Carter Contractors for the re-development of a former service station site in Bedminster. A full planning application for a block of 29 flats has been submitted to Bristol City Council for approval. It is anticipated that works will begin during 2019 with the first flats being ready for occupation towards the end of 2020. This is an exciting project for Solon and is an excellent example of utilising an area underused land whilst enabling the provision of some much needed affordable housing in the heart of Bristol. Grant funding will be sought from Bristol City Council and Homes England to support this exciting re-development.
Imperial Park, Wills Way, Bristol
16 homes delivered in partnership with Persimmon Homes. The homes are part of a larger development known as Imperial Park in Bristol. Solon have 9 flats and 1 house for affordable rent, and 6 flats for Shared Ownership. The last property will be completed in early 2019.
66 St Johns Lane, Bedminster, Bristol
A refurbishment project providing 10x 1bedroom flats for affordable rent. The existing block of 10 flats was purchased by Solon in October 2018 with grant funding from Bristol City Council and Homes England. The block is undergoing some refurbishment works and will be ready for letting in early December 2018.
