Repairs and Maintenance

The Planned Maintenance team is made up of one Manager and one Surveyor, and the Day-to-Day Maintenance team is made up of one Manager, a Co-ordinator, a Customer Services Officer and an Administration Assistant.
Ruth BerryRuth Berry
Asset Manager

Ruth is Solon’s Asset Manager and is responsible for the major repairs – kitchen & bathroom renewals, boiler replacements etc., and also for the cyclical decorating programme.  She also leads on making sure we have up to date stock condition survey information and provide support to Andy Tolley and his response team when required.
 
Ruth is a Chartered Building Surveyor and has worked with Solon for over 10 years.  She enjoys knowing Solon's buildings so we can plan repairs and provide a good service and also getting to know our residents.  She also enjoys the camaraderie of the staff team. Ruth Says "Solon is a unique organization, small, friendly and professional and I feel proud to be part of the team."
Andrew TolleyAndrew Tolley
Response & Voids Maintenance Manager

Andrew is responsible for the delivery of day to day repairs, gas and fire alarm servicing and repair. He is also responsible for void works, ensuring they are completed on time, to the agreed standard.

Building & Asset Management Surveyor

Andy is responsible for overseeing the major works programmes to replace the windows, doors, kitchens and bathrooms in residents' homes.  
 
 
 
Dominic CooksonDominic Cookson
Customer Services Officer (Repairs)

Dominic is responsible for answering the maintenance phone line. It is more than likely that you will speak to Dominic if you phone up to report a repair, he will book repair appointments and send out the works orders. Dominic will also liaise with contractors to check jobs are completed on time.
Dale Stassen
Customer Services Officer (Property)
 
Dale is one of the Customer Services Officers on the Maintenance team. She is responsible for everyone having their annual fire risk assessments, electric inspections, and asbestos surveys completed on time and she raises any additional repairs identified following these services. 
Furthermore, to ensure repairs are completed on time and to the tenant’s satisfaction, Dale also provides appointments for day to day repairs.

 
Ben Kelly
Response and Voids Maintenance Surveyor
 
Ben is our voids and maintenance suurveyor. He has worked at Solon since 2015. As a Bristolian, Ben loves being based in Bristol and getting to meet all our local residents. Before becoming a qualified building surveyor, he was a carpenter for nearly ten years so he understands the perils of DIY.

Ben's aim is to work closely with residents and contractors to deliver a professional and comprehensive repair service.
Sarah Ferris 
Customer Service Officer

Sarah is one of our Customer Services Officers. She is responsible for everyone having their annual gas service completed on time and she raises any additional gas repairs identified following the service. 

To ensure repairs is completed on time and to the tenants satisfaction, Sarah also provides appointments for day to day repairs and general gas repairs.
