Asset Management

 Our Asset Management team is divided into two teams: one focuses on planned maintenance and compliance, and the other one on responsive repairs and complex works.

The team reports to Richard James, our Director of Development and Asset Management.
Ruth Berry
Planning and Compliance Manager

Ruth is Solon’s Asset Manager and is responsible for the cyclical decorating programme and major repairs, such as kitchen and bathroom renewals, boiler replacements etc.  She also leads on making sure we have up to date stock condition survey information and provides support to the Asset Manager - Programme Delivery and his team when required.
Ruth is a Chartered Building Surveyor and has worked with Solon for over 10 years.  She enjoys knowing Solon's buildings so we can plan repairs and provide a good service and also getting to know our residents.  She also enjoys the camaraderie of the staff team. Ruth says: "Solon is a unique organization, small, friendly and professional and I feel proud to be part of the team."

Dale Stassen
Compliance Customer Service Advisor
Dale is one of the Customer Services Advisors on the Compliance team. She is responsible for everyone having their annual fire risk assessments, electric inspections, and asbestos surveys completed on time and she raises any additional repairs identified following these services.
Kay van Beersum
Compliance Customer Service Advisor

Kay works alongside Dale to make sure our residents' homes are always safe to live in.

Dean W
Fire and Communal Safety Inspector

Dean plays a key role in making sure that all communal areas of our properties are safe and free of any potential fire or trip hazards. He also regularly carries out fire alarm tests to ensure our residents' safety.
